A CLEAR STARTING POINT
What happens next.
1. Share a brief overview
Use the form to describe the general nature of the matter. Please do not include client names, taxpayer-identifying information or confidential documents.
2. Discuss fit and scope
Speak with Damian about the matter, the appropriate engagement arrangement and the work that may be needed.
3. Establish the appropriate next steps
For a client engagement, Damian sends an engagement letter through TaxDome after the client agrees to proceed. Sensitive records are shared through the appropriate secure process, not through the inquiry form.
IRS representation requires separate taxpayer authorization. Signing an engagement letter does not itself authorize IRS representation.

Who may engage ZeroBalance?
Either the client or CPA firm may be possible; arrangement and scope are determined case by case.

Does an inquiry establish an engagement?
No. Any engagement and its terms are established separately.
